Shawl - foulard in white linen and white cotton with twills interspersed with tussah silk in cauldron and pumpkin colors. It is woven all in twills and, the result is a fabric with drop, light and with the unique nuance that has linen, which in this case is irregularly spun, providing a rich added texture.
Soft and elegant, with the characteristic gloss of linen, which together with warp cotton, forms a soft and comfortable ensemble.
The design is inspired by the fabrics on the head of the bathers of the paintings of the painter Ingres.
The combination of these two vegetable textile fibers forms a delicate and resistant fabric: linen is one of the most resistant and durable fibers; cotton is elastic and linen is not.
Fabrics made with these two fibers, have all the characteristics of both: strength and softness, rigidity and elasticity; the result is an elegant and flattering fabric with hygroscopic (great moisture absorption power), antistatic (natural fibers do not accumulate static electricity) and thermal insulators.
The technique used is twill, with different twill design, irregularly interspersed, with tussah silk, which with its matte texture contrasts with the natural shine of linen.
It is finished with knots, leaving the threads free forming fringes.
